Billing and Accounts Specialist

Benafica is seeking a dedicated team player to service and maintain accounts in our growing portfolio. This position will focus on Billing and Payments, overseeing the billing process for an intuitive financial administration of products, with the ability to manage, speak to, and advise clients on payment and product information.

Position Overview

You will be primarily responsible for, administering invoices, ensuring payment information, coordinating collections within our designated CRM, and providing customer service in the noted areas above for Clients. Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Collaborating with clients, and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors
  • Creating invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to a client
  • Facilitating payment methods, including EFT/ACH, and collecting/accepting checks for invoices
  • Processing of specified claims for certain policies
  • Inputting payment history, upcoming payment information or other financial data into an individual account
  • Informing clients of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines
  • Keep and maintain accurate records for each client in our CRM. This includes keeping clerical information up to date
  • Providing Customer Service and Product Knowledge to clients, responding to inquiries at the earliest convenience via phone or email


Position Requirements


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to Provide Great Customer Service
  • Self-Motivator with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic Math, bookkeeping, and accounting skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook)


  • Solid working experience with customer relationship management
  • A Positive can-do attitude
  • 2+ years of Accounting Experience in accounts payables or receivables.
