Technical Support / Junior Developer

We are looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent interpersonal skills for the Technical Support / Junior Developer position. This person will split their time between providing technical support for our clients and developing new features for the system. 

The ideal candidate must possess superior problem-solving skills, good technical knowledge, strong communication skills, good task management, and critical thinking skills.  Bonus if this person also knew how to develop in ASP.NET MVC.  This position will augment the existing development team. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Troubleshooting technical issues along with diagnosing and repairing faults 
  • Speaking to customers to quickly get to the root of their problem 
  • Talking customers through a series of actions to resolve a problem 
  • Following up with clients to ensure the problem is resolved 
  • Supporting the roll-out of new software releases/updates 
  • Providing support in the form of procedural documentation 
  • Managing multiple cases at one time 
  • Testingevaluating, and documenting new software features 
  • Setup and configure new clients 
  • Develop, test, and implement according to design specifications 
  • Develop new features for applications and collaborate other developers on potential solutions 
  • Consult with project lead on identification of problems and suggest solutions for the resolution of coding issues 
  • Investigate and resolve issues in development, test and production environments 
  • Leverage OO designs and apply working knowledge of design patterns, data and business modules 
Preferred Skills 
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology 
  • Strong Analytical, Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Abilities 
  • Solid Organizational Skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills 
  • Good Database Skills (preference given to SQL Server) 
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS 
  • High aptitude, self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment 
  • Bonus: Prior experience in tech support, desktop support, or a similar role
